MedPoint Digital Welcomes Yvonne Reid

MedPoint Digital would like to extend a warm welcome to Yvonne Reid, the newest addition to our Global Development Team. Yvonne will be working from MedPoint Digital’s new West Coast Office. We are thrilled to have her on board!

We sat down with Yvonne to learn more about her impressive background in the biopharmaceutical industry, and hear all about her world travels.

MedPoint: What valuable experiences do you bring to the team? 

Yvonne: I’ve had 20 years of global pharmaceutical experience, working my way up from sales rep to Director, Team Leader of Global Staff Development at Pfizer. My experience spans marketing, sales, training and research, addressing issues such as sales force effectiveness, leader development, adult learning and sustainability metrics. I’m now able to assess client challenges from a multidisciplinary perspective, and develop program plans to meet specific client challenges, usually on a national or global scale.

MD: What excites you about working in the biopharmaceutical industry? 

Y: The pharma industry is continuously evolving with new research to make the world a healthier place. It excites me to be part of the development of medicines that will potentially save thousands of lives.

MD: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever done? 

Y: I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some of the most amazing countries in the world (over 40 and counting!) A few of my favorites have been Machu Picchu, the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids and Sphinx of Egypt. Along the way I’ve eaten some weird dishes – snake, monkey brains, lung, scorpion, and like any good Scott, haggis. The world is an amazing place, and I like to be adventurous.

On a professional note, I pioneered adult learning and engagement at Pfizer. It had never been done before, and I was able to bring these ideas to a global scale. Plus, it was beyond fun to prove the skeptics wrong!

MD: What do you enjoy most about working with biopharma clients? 

Y: The challenge. The healthcare industry is constantly changing, and so are the ideas and goals that keep it thriving. It’s a joy to provide creative, innovative, cost-obliterating solutions for our clients, such as transformative portals and virtual meetings. At MedPoint, we’re changing the paradigm and disrupting the industry in an overwhelmingly positive way.

MD: What do you think clients find most memorable about you? 

Y: Aside from my Scottish accent, clients have frequently commented on the energy and enthusiasm that I bring to the table. It’s a big reason why I’ve been an effective, high-level professional in the training and development area.
