2000-2009 Building and Diversifying

2009 - The PeerPoint Medical Education Institute, LLC is reorganized as an independent company, with no corporate ties to MedPoint.

2008 - MedPoint enhances its clinical trial ePortal with new capabilities in activity tracking and essential document management.

2008 - MedPoint rapidly exands its activites in support of virtual speaker events, supporting high-volume programs at several leading pharma companies.

2008 - MedPoint integrates its vitual meeting services with the compliance management system of a leading pharma company, establishing direct data exchange.

2007 - PeerPoint achieves a milestone in the incorporation of Performance Improvement initiatives by winning multiple projects at the point-of-care level. These awards confirm the industry-leading approaches taken by PeerPoint to make CME a value proposition.

2007 - MedPoint opens its first international office in Paris. The company has employed a stable cadre of ex-US contract employees for years, providing project management, technical support and meeting planning. The Paris Office is MedPoint's first permanent office overseas, and its mission is to provide excellent service to European clients.

2007 - PeerPoint Medical Education Institute, LLC moves into new offices in Evanston, IL. The new offices feature modernized infrastructure and upgraded facilities, including a conference amphitheater seating 186 persons.

2006 - The Marketing Services realigns its strategic focus on virtual speaker programs and related activities. MedPoint re-doubles its commitment to expand its position as a leader in virtual speaker programs.

2006 - PeerPoint is reaccredited by the ACCME, and is cited for exemplary compliance on selected elements.

2005 - The Research Services division is formed to service the company's clients in clinical research. The new division redefines its mission to improve the quality of training preparation and empowerment of study sites in clinical research. With dedicated leadership and a diverse service team, this is the company's largest division, and services to clinical research will soon account for over 50% of company revenue.

2004 - MedPoint moves into new corporate offices, a 14,000 sq/ft suite in Evanston, IL. The new headquarter office features a greatly expanded TelePoint Center and state-of-the-art technologic infrastructure. PeerPoint continues to occupy the company's original offices in a separate building in Evanston, IL.

2003 - MedPoint produces its first study-specific ePortal website. This website allows study sites in a clinical trial to access various study resources, including core documents and forms. The website also tracks individual user completion of training modules and protocol amendments.

2002 - The Marketing Services division is created in parallel to the spin-off of PeerPoint. With its own experienced leadership and talented team, HealthPoint is committed to innovation and excellence for with-label medical education services.

2002 - PeerPoint Medical Education Institute, LLC is created as an independent CME subsidiary company of MedPoint. PeerPoint is spun-off with separate leadership and a dedicated team of medical education professionals. It is a fully fire-walled entity operating at the highest standards of independence and educational excellence.

2002 - The first series of learning modules for clinical research are completed and distributed via CD. Extensive value is added in post-production via audio editing, Flash animations, scrolling text, and user controls. Over the next few years, MedPoint will produce over 200 such series, each supporting the launch of a major new research trial.

2002 - MedPoint opens an expanded TelePoint Center at its headquarters offices in Evanston, IL. This telecommunications center supports improved service and increased demand for full-service webconferences and teleconferences. The TelePoint Division grows into one of the largest dedicated service groups at MedPoint.

2001 / 2002 - MedPoint responds to the urgent needs of clients in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. During this period business travel is severely curtailed, and MedPoint is able to support client conference and business activities using its TelePointTM WebConference system. MedPoint also uses web-based learning and communications formats to support client education and communication needs during this challenging period.

2001 - MedPoint organizes and conducts its first eMeeting for an Investigator Meeting. Over the next few years, the business of re-engineering Investigator Meetings into eMeetings and eMedia will grow rapidly for the company.

March, 2000 - MedPoint is designated an accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME) by the Accreditation Council of CME (ACCME).

1994-1999 Driving Innovation

1999 - MedPoint introduces a major new release of its TelePoint WebConferencing system. The new release includes advances in presenter mark-up tools, audience polling and audience chat response. MedPoint will continue its position as the leading medical communications company with comprehensive capabilities in webconferencing.

1998 - MedPoint produces the first version of its Event Management System, or EMS. The EMS system is integrated into its program websites, and automatically captures registration information into a relational database. EMS drives the quality and performance of large meetings and high-volume speaker activities at MedPoint.

1998 - Meeting planning services expand rapidly with clients such as Aventis (RPR), Glaxo, Lilly and Sanofi. The company opens offices with planning staff in Cary, NC and Indianapolis, IN.

1997 - MedPoint creates a ground-breaking computer-based program, the Pharmaco-Economic Rapid Analyzer. This interactive program provides users with a simple step-by-step process to perform a sophisticated pharmaco-economic analysis.

1996 - MedPoint develops its first education program-specific website. The website supports attendee registration and provides information and downloads for a medical speaker program.

1995 - MedPoint produces its first medical professional website for a pharmaceutical brand, Calcijex (Abbott). The website includes an extensive library of promotional newsletters, links to medical literature and educational resources.

1994 - MedPoint executes its first international medical meeting in London, England. Over the next decade MedPoint will execute over 120 meetings in international venues covering Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and South America.

January, 1994 - MedPoint launches its TelePoint™ eConferencing service, supporting a sales division of Abbott. TelePoint is the first virtual meeting (webconferencing) platform in the medical industry, and MedPoint pioneers its use several years earlier than the next closest entrant. The TelePoint program with Abbott continues for over a decade.

1990-1993 Creating a New Company

1993 - Tom Cooney, Executive VP and CTO, establishes DataPoint Division, which pioneers the use of interactive computer technology to support pharmaceutical marketing and medical education.

1992 - Peggy Quinlan, Senior Vice President, creates the first separate business of MedPoint, the MeetingPoint Division, which grows into a leading meeting planning group serving healthcare companies.

September, 1990 - Bill Cooney, President and CEO, founds MedPoint as a medical education group dedicated to innovative communication services to the medical industry and the healthcare community.
